Specialized Counseling

I am not sure what else to call this, so let me start by acknowledging that this title is not quite right. I feel privileged to get to work with some special groups of people that in my opinion, do not get enough support and understanding. This is how I came to specialize in working with women around issues of women in the workplace, women's rights and motherhood. This is also haw I came to work with those in the LGBTQIA+ community who need a counselor that accepts without judgement and supports rather than shames.

“We think our job as humans is to avoid pain, our job as parents is to protect our children from pain, and our job as friends is to fix each other's pain. Maybe that's why we all feel like failures so often - because we all have the wrong job description for love.”   -Glennon Doyle
